Strictly Forbidden, Scene One

Trippy and slow-burn erotic, STRICTLY FORBIDDEN takes its time but eventually gets to its wild orgy and creepy twist ending. Shot on location in Paris and also known as Le Musee, this unusual experimental gay classic from Hand in Hand Films, directed by founder Jack Deveau (featuerd in a great non-sexual cameo as a lascivious French man), concerns statues coming to life in a strange art museum's hidden gallery and the handsome young man (Tomas Jeffries) who learns from them of his inmost desires!
Stylized sex scenes include an orgy of living statue men, a massive dildo, and expressively photographed sexual action accompanied by a number of impressive special effects. Scenes get more elaborate, intense, and even unsettling until the movie's Twlight Zone-esque finale!
At the start, sweet, shy art student Jeffries tours Paris, vising a few art exhibits, and gets lost. He's cruised by an older man (Deveau, himself, in a rare on-screen appearance and showing some very good acting chops) who offers to "help him out." As they sit at a cafe together, he suggests that Jeffries ought to visit a particular art museum, before spoiling their encounter by becoming increasingly pushy in his advances.
Jeffries does make it to the recommended museum and sneaks into a closed off exhibit after the guard has left and locked up for the day. In the dark and mysterious room, a handsome statue (Hugh Allen) comes to life and approaches Jeffries, sensually tongue-kissing him in tight close-up.
