Video director Toby Ross created an outstanding hardcore "short story" collection in this refreshingly different vintage gay sex video. Always provocative, Ross constructed a video with groundbreaking dialogue and intrigue, historical significance, and spontaneity.

Also, Ross's attempts at expanding the typical gay sex video are commendable, featuring a well-mixed offering of good acting, steamy sex, political satire, as well as porno with a message.

Scene one, entitled "Soldier of Fortune," is a historical revisionist's take on the 1960 Franci Gay Powers U-2 spy plane incident. Here, actual footage of a military plane is used, and newspaper headlines reveal that a U.S. Spy plane has been shot down and its pilot, Lt. Jerry Flowers (Luke Bender, aka Steve Kennedy), has been captured by Russian interrogators behind enemy lines.

Flowers is "tortured" by being spanked with a riding crop, but only yells out his name, rank, and serial number in response to the questions. Soviet interrogator Chris Harts wants information from the unyielding Flowers, but the sexy Slav ends up yielding his ass to the American lieutenant instead.

The setting, musical score, and special effects (even down to a camouflaged condom) all combine to generate an intense and creative segment.
