Rick is a six-foot blond muscleman and hustler who has appeared previously in several other Old Reliable collections. This Old Reliable film about him reaches a bit to the documentary level and style as he is asked questions from off camera and leads the viewer into his world.
Here, Rick is all by his lonesome, an unusual move from a company that usually has at least six different guys in each tape, if not more. He struts in his jockstrap, rips it off his body and shows off and manipulates his boner while talking directly to the viewer.
He tells us that he knows what a hunk he is, what a stud he is, how he likes to overpower people and how he likes to get mean and nasty. Rick knows that he's fine and pretty and tough and desirable, and he likes to be admired, to be serviced and to party.
This scene is all Rick, his mirror, his jockstrap and his cigar. In any event, this video is an interesting portrait and highly original in its own right, and is never boring.
"Rick alternatively seduces and humiliates the viewer... he is sometimes coy, sometimes intimate, sometimes crude and cruel. He is never boring... A cross between Robert Graves, Claudius and Andy Warhol's, A Hustler." --Studflix
"Old Reliable's style is strangely suspect as erotic video. While giving the video public sexually explicit J/O productions, he is also documenting the psyche of the street boys of California. I, Rick definitely fits this scenario as O.R. presents the model in solo action but, as a lead up to Rick showing his stuff, O.R. questions and talks with Rick from off camera. We begin to get a somewhat documentary style production going at the same time as we are lead into a solo J/O tape." -- Gay Erotic Review, 1986
